The three solutions management models to prevent degradation of Can Gio mangrove forest introduced by Dr. Pham The Dzung, chief of the study namely “ Research in investigation of solutions to prevent degradation of Can Gio mangrove forest” have been highly appreciated by participants of the appraisal workshop of that study, organized by Department of Technology and Science of Ho Chi Minh City on May 14, 2008.

Those solutions included the development of mangrove forest organic shrimp farming combination involving the participation of local communities; The measures to maximizing organism species’ nutritive space such as appropriately pruning, cleansing and caring for the forest.; And The model of diversifying mangrove forest flora by intercropping in lines, clusters and groups.
