EU inspectors satisfied with sanitary conditions at Vietnam’s seafood processing facilities

EU inspector team shows their satisfy to hygiene conditions at seafood processing factories in Vietnam as well as serious repairing violations which recommended by EU.

On 8th October, EU’s inspectors had a meeting with National Fisheries Quality Assurance And Veterinary Directorate to give conclusions on inspecting sanitary conditions at seafood factories of the country.

The inspector team has highly appreciated hygiene and safety standards complied from planning, harvesting, to transporting to plants  at mollusks harvesting areas at Can Gio and Kien Luong southern provinces. The inspectors also satisfied with sanitary conditions at mollusks processing plants.

Taking part in the meeting, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Luong Le Phuong affirmed that the government would control and manage strictly seafood pre-processing, make sure that all hygiene and safety standards of EU would be implemented seriously. Vietnam will also continuously improve the quality of seafood exported to the market.
