Quy Nhon Frozen Seafood Joint Stock Company said in July it exported 200 tons of seafood, valued one million USD to Japan, United States, the Philippines, South Korea and Australia .

Japan and South Korea are the largest markets, represented for 40% of the company’s export turnover. Seafood shipments to Australia and Taiwan accounted for 30% of total sale, Mr.Banh Quang Ha, director said.

He also revealed the company’s plan to diversify types of products in order to widen its market. At the moment, frozen shrimps are key export items. The company will produce high-end products from tuna and markerel in the near future.

Ha complained his company faces many difficulties, price of raw materials increased about 20% to 50% over the beginning of the year.
